Not always people

I shoot people so much, and that's what I am know for. Most people don't know that I started out as a landscape shooter. It's kind of like a get away for me to shoot landscape. I love the graphic compositions you can get when shooting landscape. I also enjoy just capturing beauty instead of having to create the illusion of it. It's a totally different high I get. 

I can remember shooting film, and not being able to get exactly what my eyes saw. With the advent of digital and the tonal range you can get, I can now capture images like I envision them.

Portland has a plethora of places to get out into the wild just minutes away from the city. It's what makes Portland well Portland. If you don't mind getting a little wet, you can shoot almost any day. The rain is what makes it so lush around here. I have to admit that this time of year, I miss the sun. Getting out and shooting something lush helps with the grey depression we all have this time of year.
